Accounting Clerk-payroll Department

FLSA:Non-exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school graduate
* Minimum of three years bookkeeping experience
* Ability to deal with other employees
* Ability to perform and understand routine mathematical operations
* Proficient in use of computer.

REPORTS TO: Chief Accountant and Accountant

SUPERVISES: None

JOB GOAL: To perform accounting duties under general supervision within established policies and procedures

TERM: Twelve (12) Months

SALARY: Accounting Clerk salary schedule

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process invoices for payment

2. Enter fiscal transactions in computer

3. Assign batch numbers for general ledger and accounts payable batches

4. Sign accounts payable checks, as necessary

5. Assist in preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements

6. Assist in preparation of bank deposits

7. Maintain appropriate files in a complete and orderly manner

8. Any other duties assigned by the Director or evaluator
