What You'll Do

+ Appropriately select psychologically based instruments to use in assessments and administer, score and interpret assessments accurately.

+ Communicate assessment results with child, family, and other appropriate parties maintaining the dignity and respect of the child and the family.

+ Develop recommendations consistent with assessment findings, child goals, family goals, and team consensus.

+ Devise and implement appropriate treatment programs including therapy, counseling, or advice.

+ Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

BenefitsThis role is full-time and eligible for health benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement account. PTO is frontloaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately. As a non-profit organization we participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

What You'll Need

+ Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.

+ State of Iowa Licensed Psychologist or Provisional Psychology License ( Post-Doctoral applicants accepted).

+ Two years or more of licensed practice preferred.

+ Experience and effective interactions with children & adolescents on the autism spectrum preferred.

+ Trauma informed psychologist with practice experience in intellectual testing, cognitive & aptitude testing, autism diagnostics, and mental illness diagnostics preferred.

+ Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
