Position Overview

We are excited to offer a remarkable opportunity for a Pediatric Clinical Psychologist who holds a valid license or is eligible for licensure. This role involves conducting thorough assessments, providing service recommendations, and delivering appropriate therapeutic interventions to children and young adults.

ChildServe is a physician-led, CARF-accredited pediatric specialty healthcare organization dedicated to supporting nearly 5,800 children annually. Our focus is on children with developmental challenges, including neurodevelopmental disorders, behavioral issues, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, and various other conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and administer appropriate psychological assessment tools, ensuring accurate scoring and interpretation.
  • Effectively communicate assessment outcomes to the child, family, and relevant stakeholders while maintaining respect and dignity.
  • Formulate recommendations aligned with assessment results, child and family objectives, and team consensus.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans, including therapy and counseling.
  • Assist clients in establishing goals and strategizing actions for personal, social, educational, and vocational growth.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Standard business hours
  • Opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions

Benefits Overview

This full-time position comes with comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement plan. Paid time off is provided upon hire and begins accruing immediately. As a non-profit organization, we are also part of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensed Psychologist in the State of Iowa or Provisional Psychology License (Post-Doctoral candidates are welcome).
  • Preferred experience of two years or more in licensed practice.
  • Familiarity with effective interactions with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum is preferred.
  • Trauma-informed practice experience in intellectual testing, cognitive assessments, autism diagnostics, and mental health diagnostics is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and navigate the work environment effectively.
  • Compliance with potential COVID-19 safety protocols, if applicable, will be discussed during the interview process.
