Position Summary:

Responsible for facilities management at the corporate office complex including operation, maintenance and repair of building, grounds and equipment. Manage capital remodel projects, and space planning/office move activities. Manage the operating and capital budgets for facilities related activities and manage the department's day to day financial performance. Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, attractive and productive working environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage corporate office custodial activities including supervision and scheduling of inhouse staff and identify, recruit and manage cost effective outside service contractors.
  • Identify and review outside vendor pool, including review, approval, and negotiation of disputed invoices.
  • Manage the operation of the mail room to ensure all forms of mail is distributed in and out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage the operation of East End and West End cafeterias, including day to day activities and maintenance.
  • Assist with the support operations of the, gym and Central Station.
  • Manage corporate office space planning and office move activities including meetings with management of areas involved, plan development from preliminary sketches to final approved layouts, sequence schedule development and communication, and project management.
  • Manage the repairs, maintenance and inspections for the following systems at the corporate office complex: building, equipment, grounds, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), and building automation system (BAS).
  • Manage corporate office capital remodel activities.
  • Develop scope of work for the projects.
  • Project manage the construction activities around the working office environment.
  • Maintain corporate office layout floor plans.
  • Manage budgets for related accounts and prepare timely variance reports for the above activities.
  • Utilize Engineering's current tracking systems to monitor costs of repairs and projects.
  • Research, test and implement procedures to control and reduce expenses related to the above activities.
  • Act as the liaison for visits from insurance company, fire department inspections and landlord.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the landlord for facilities issues.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies and work nights and weekends when appropriate for project management.
  • Ensure timely ordering of supplies and recycling/removal of waste materials.

Qualifications and Experience:

Basic:
  • 2 - 4 years of experience maintaining or managing a facility.

Preferred:
  • Associate's Degree.
