This position will sit in either Franklin, TN, Providence, RI, or at one of our CTC Clinics.

Your Job as a Regional Patient Account Representative:

The Regional Patient Account Representative will monitor patient balances to ensure compliance with group policies and provide information and direction to clinic staff regarding patient financial obligations.

Your Responsibilities as a Regional Patient Account Representative:

* Answer clinic questions regarding patient accounts (co-pay, co-insurance, deductibles, etc.)
* Serve as an escalation point for patient financial questions or concerns.
* Ensure that information is communicated accurately and timely between clinic staff and the region's centralized billing office.
* Review whether assigned clinics are securing patient payments on a timely basis.
* Negotiate and secure payment on aged balances. Propose discounts when appropriate.
* Complete Self-Pay adjustment form and submit for approval, see SOP.
* Monitor compliance with authorization and referral requirements.
* Identify and propose opportunities to increase collection rates and enhance patient understanding and awareness of their financial benefits and obligations.
* Monitor and report key metrics.
* Audit patient accounts for completeness and accuracy (i.e., signed financial consent(s), Insurance Verification Form (IVF), authorization, Insurance card (front/back), driver's license, etc.).

Qualifications

Your Skills and Qualifications as a Regional Patient Account Representative:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 3 years plus of healthcare insurance experience, preferable with multi-site locations.
* Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
* Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
* Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
* Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
