Job Description

The Payroll Tax Lead is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll tax payments, reporting, and overall payroll tax compliance across the organization. The lead oversees US and Puerto Rico payroll tax operations, stay abreast on tax regulations, and implements adjustments to maintain compliance standards. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, an in-depth understanding of payroll tax legislation, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve payroll tax procedures. This role will also support activities necessary to complete the processing of the payroll for US and Puerto Rico, including inspecting/auditing tax registers, tax filing and reporting for accuracy and yearly tax statements.

Responsibilities

* Knowledge expertise of US and Puerto Rico regulations around employee payroll.
* Monitor and understand US federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance.
* Stay up to date with regulatory changes and updates systems and processes accordingly.
* Perform regular audits to identify and resolve compliance issues, avoid delays in filings to monitor penalties/ notices.
* Work in partnership with the Payroll Team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll tax liabilities.
* Reconcile state withholding taxes and state unemployment taxes monthly, quarterly, and annually.
* Ensure payroll tax deposits are remitted timely and accurately.
* Partnering with internal stakeholders and ADP to
