The Pavilion at Queens Rehabilitation & Nursing is committed to improving our patients' quality of life & autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services, and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention.

We are seeking a proactive, experienced Infection Control Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee the total care and safety of all residents and employees during his/her tour of duty. Supervises and assist all nursing personnel in their work performance when necessary. Performs duties of Unit Nurse when necessary.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Department.
  • Oversee all infection control tracking and ensuring all policies and ahdeared to facilitywide. 
  • In the absence of the DNS, you will oversee the entire nursing department ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Identify the needs, problems and progress of nursing services and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain quality care standards and policy and procedures across the department.
  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care.
  • Carry out, coordinate and manage administrative functions in areas or programs related to nursing services (risk management, infection control, staff development, etc.)
  • Help to hire, train, teach, and monitor nursing staff and other support staff activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administrator and Director of Nursing.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State RN License.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills as well as a strong focus for top notch resident care.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. of the Nursing Department.
  • Previous ADON/Infection Control care experience required.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • 5-10 years Long Term Care experience required
