Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse - RN

We are looking for an Infection Preventionist - RN - Registered Nurse.

** Pay range = $110K to $115K Annually **

Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse - RN Qualifications:

Current licensure in the State of New York as a Registered Nurse - RN.
Current CPR certification.
Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology or Certification of the completion of the “Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course” by CDC.
Minimum of one year of experience in nursing supervisory or nursing management in a Long-Term Care setting.

Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse - RN Job Summary:

Develop, implement and evaluate the Ozanam Hall infection prevention program.
Develop an annual surveillance plan based on the population served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.
Utilize epidemiologic principles to conduct surveillance and investigation.
Develop, interpret and assist with implementation of infection prevention and control policies and protocols.
Communicate infection prevention and control information and data to various committee and healthcare workers.
Create periodic written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing.
Provide leadership, supervision and educational principles on infection prevention and control for staff.
Make daily rounds throughout the facility to assure that personnel are performing infection prevention practices.
Participate in the assessment and selection of residents to the facility related to infection prevention and control.
Provide hands on nursing care as necessary, as directed and allowed based on IP’s scope of licensure.
