Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION
The System Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and implementing the student intake process, form requirements and student schedules required by Ballad Health and its academic partners. The System Academic Coordinator will report to the program managers for GME and CME. The primary responsibility for this position will be to support Medical, APP and Allied Health students.
  1. The coordinator will work closely with students, instructors, and community partners to align the academic programming with community needs and ensure that programs deliver high-quality learning opportunities for students of all ages.
  2. Additionally, this position also performs administrative activities of a responsible and complex nature.
  3. The System Academic Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring compliance and implementing academic policies and procedures.
  4. This position is responsible for coordinating curriculum integration within the clinical training environment.
  5. The coordinator will be responsible for collaborating with faculty to develop course schedules and academic calendars.
  6. The coordinator will be responsible for planning, scheduling and overseeing student orientation programs, academic events and activities.
  7. This position is responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate academic records, databases, and required documents.
  8. The coordinator will be responsible for monitoring student progress and academic performance and effectively communicate to academic institutions when necessary.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or three to five years of work experience in a responsible administrative field is required. A combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also required.
