Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced ESL Academic Supervisor to oversee and coordinate our ESL academic program. Reporting directly to the AVP of Academic Affairs, the ESL Academic Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our ESL program. This is a full-time, exempt position with opportunities for growth and professional development within our organization.

With over 33 years of experience, we serve thousands of students annually, offering classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Train, schedule, supervise, support, and evaluate ESL teachers

- Coordinate program meetings and trainings

- Organize and oversee student events

- Manage the start dates process for new students

- Monitor student attendance, achievement data, and faculty attendance in our system

- Develop and implement student retention strategies

- Coordinate teacher and class scheduling

- Support progress monitoring for ESL students

- Provide support to the AVP of Academic Affairs as needed

- Participate actively in team and agency meetings

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

- Thorough knowledge of effective ESL instruction methodologies

- TESOL, TEFL, DELTA, or any ESL teacher certification

- Proficiency in tracking and analyzing data to monitor progress towards program milestones

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to build positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and students

- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proficiency in computer applications and technology

- Bachelor's degree is required.

 - Previous experience in an ESL institute setting is a plus.
