Administrative Worker

Under the direction of the Administration Manager and Supervisor, the Claims assistant performs administrative tasks and provides support to staff processing insurance claims.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive
and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management
may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Contactinginsured individuals to obtain all of the information necessary to process claims.
2. Researched and compiled documents to set up claim files by coordinating with underwriting department and branch locations.
3. Entered detailed claim file notes in the file management database on a daily basis in accordance with instructions from the Administration Supervisor.
4. Regularly run and generated claims reports for management.
5. Utilize outstanding communication and interpersonal skills maintained strong and positive relationships with the providers, the claimants, and the clients
6. Maintain confidential claims information including correspondence with sensitive information
7. Answered incoming telephone calls and general questions when appropriate.
8. Monitor office supplies inventory, re-ordering supplies, forms, stationary, etc. as needed, according to procurement procedures.
9. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
10. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
11. Complete special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Requires four years of high school and six to twelve months related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills
• Works well in team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Solid speaking, writing and grammar skills
• Good Microsoft Office experience and computer
skills
• Computer research skills- Accurint, Google,
White Pages, etc.
• Ability to type 50+ WPM
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to
prepare correspondence, reports, memos, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
