What you'll be doing in this role:

The Public Areas Attendant works in conjunction with the Housekeeping team to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotels with a focus on the public spaces and designated Housekeeping areas.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide warm, humble and knowledgeable service throughout the property
* Receive daily assignment, working primarily off the daily checklists
* Receive mobile Zello device
* Clean and restock the public areas restrooms and common areas for guest and staff
* Follow hotel Style guide
* Clean and restock designated Housekeeping areas
* Complete daily checklists in its entirety
* Assist in guestrooms when needed (cleaning rooms, providing service)
* Complete guest requests in a timely manner (under 15 minutes)
* Take on any regularly scheduled projects, or as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
* Monitor and maintain Guest hallways and elevators always clean and presentable
* Be responsive on the radio (Zello application) when Office coordinator/Supervisors/Manager reach out

Employee Relations

* Assist in creating a culture that encourages our staff to grow
* Support service teams
* Prepare all required paperwork including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner

General/Miscellaneous

* Ensure in quality of guest experience, service, operational effectiveness, employee retention, and satisfaction
* Ensure consistent, thorough, and timely communication to peers, managers, guests, and vendors
* Continually strive to provide opportunities to advance the education and development of staff as it relates to food, wine, and service
* Understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations/ordinances that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the farm/restaurant/inn, its employees, and its guests
* All other duties as assigned by manager

In an ideal world, you have:

* 1 years of experience in a luxury hotel within the Housekeeping department
* Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
* Highly organized, self-motivated, and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to listen, communicate, and make connections
* Relevant experience in high-end hospitality/restaurant operations
* Excellent Mobile Device competency (HotSOS, Zello, Apple & Android UI)
* A person of integrity; fair and consistent
* Creative problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across the organization
* Must have availability for PM shifts and weekends.
* Availability as needed to accommodate hotel occupancy (Summer, Spring, weekends, holidays)

ENVIRONMENTAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standards
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and be able to push up to 60 pounds
* Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
* Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
