Role Overview:

The Public Areas Attendant collaborates with the Housekeeping team to uphold the cleanliness and organization of the hotel, focusing on public spaces and designated housekeeping areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver warm, humble, and knowledgeable service throughout the property
  • Receive daily assignments, primarily working from daily checklists
  • Utilize mobile communication devices for coordination
  • Clean and replenish public restrooms and common areas for guests and staff
  • Adhere to hotel style guidelines
  • Maintain and restock designated housekeeping areas
  • Complete daily checklists thoroughly
  • Assist in guestroom cleaning and service as needed
  • Address guest requests promptly (within 15 minutes)
  • Undertake regularly scheduled projects or tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager
  • Ensure guest hallways and elevators are consistently clean and presentable
  • Respond promptly on the communication device when contacted by supervisors or managers
Employee Relations:
  • Foster a culture that encourages staff growth
  • Support service teams in their efforts
  • Prepare necessary paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized manner
General/Miscellaneous:
  • Ensure quality guest experiences, operational effectiveness, and employee satisfaction
  • Maintain consistent and timely communication with peers, managers, guests, and vendors
  • Strive to provide educational and developmental opportunities for staff related to service excellence
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 1+ years of experience in a luxury hotel within the housekeeping department
  • Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to listen, communicate effectively, and build connections
  • Relevant experience in high-end hospitality or restaurant operations
  • Proficient with mobile devices and applications
  • Integrity and fairness in all interactions
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Collaborative mindset across the organization
  • Availability for evening shifts and weekends
  • Flexibility to accommodate hotel occupancy needs (weekends, holidays)
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently and safely
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and push up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
  • Capability to maneuver through work areas, including bending, lifting, and reaching frequently
