Overview
The main responsibility of the bike mechanic is to build, repair, diagnose, and accommodate Loon's rental bikes for guests. All bikes should be tested for safety before and after rental.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of the maintenance and safety of the Bike Shop.
* Maintain a supply of all equipment needed to run this operation in a safe manner.
* Maintain daily work coverage schedule for guest service.
* Keep work area clean and organized.
* Maintain daily records of build and repair of bikes.
* Ability to work and train with co-workers on build and repair of bikes.
* May be required to job share per business need.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* Previous experience in building and fixing a variety of bikes required. Knowledge of the mechanics of maintaining safety of bikes.
* Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to add, subtract, and apply a basic understanding of mathematical skills.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
