Responsible for assembling product in an efficient and safe manner. Further responsibilities include, warehouse maintenance duties and prep of merchandise.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Assembling cocktail tables, end tables, chairs (chairs that do not require a saw or press to be assembled) to be shipped out for delivery.
* Preparing work area for assembling merchandise by reorganizing workbench and clearing area.
* Placing merchandise in correct cages for delivery proposes.
* Prepping and inspecting merchandise for delivery.
* Maintaining high quality standards for products assembled.
* Assisting in the performance of warehouse maintenance duties.
* Attendance in compliance with our Absence/Tardy policy is an essential responsibility of this position.
Requirements
* Must be familiar with D.C. procedures.
* Must be able to use power tools properly (e.g., drills, hammers, utility knife, sockets, pliers, and wrenches).
* Must be able to safely and efficiently drive a tugger, pallet jack or lift.
* Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk lift and carry (i.e., merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. about 40% of the time and over 60 lbs. about 30% of the time).
* Must be able to exercise caution and strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
* Must have hand/eye coordination and must be accurate.
