Responsibilities- Safely deliver and remove materials to and from production lines in a timely manner.
- Manage all in-line materials and assist supervisory staff in maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Verify counts of raw materials and finished products.
- Ensure all assigned personnel utilize company-provided PPE and adhere to safety protocols.
- Report any potential safety hazards to management and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department.
- Keep work areas tidy, including disposing of trash and removing excess scrap material.
- Set up and operate multiple lines and/or machines as required.
- Read and comprehend shop orders and operations on Bills of Materials.
- Understand relocation sheets, carton labeling procedures, labor reporting, and other necessary forms.
- Assist in training associates, maintaining production rates, and identifying solutions to production bottlenecks.
- Perform other production-related duties as necessary.
- Ability to work with a variety of production tools and machinery.
- Capable of working in a team environment and treating colleagues with respect to efficiently produce quality, fully assembled units.
- Fluency in English, with basic math and reading skills.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
- Flexibility with start and end times within 1st or 2nd shifts and/or overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand for the entire work shift.
- Ability to operate a powered electric pallet jack.
