**Job Summary:**

As a receptionist in an assisted living facility, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents, their families, and visitors. You will serve as the primary point of contact and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

1. **Greeting and Assistance:** Warmly welcome residents, families, and visitors as they arrive at the facility. Provide information, directions, and assistance as needed.

 

2. **Phone Management:** Answer and manage incoming phone calls, routing them to the appropriate staff members or departments. Take messages and ensure prompt follow-up.

 

3. **Administrative Support:** Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, maintaining records, and managing resident and visitor sign-in/out logs.

 

4. **Appointment Scheduling:** Schedule and confirm appointments for residents, families, and staff. Keep an organized calendar for facility events and meetings.

 

5. **Mail and Package Handling:** Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Assist residents with outgoing mail and package preparation.

 

6. **Emergency Response:** Be familiar with the facility's emergency procedures and provide assistance in the event of an emergency, such as contacting emergency services or notifying relevant staff members.

 

7. **Resident Communication:** Relay messages between residents and their families, as well as between residents and staff members.

 

8. **Maintain Lobby Area:** Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming. Ensure that reading materials, brochures, and other resources are readily available.

 

9. **Visitor Check-In/Out:** Monitor and record the entry and exit of visitors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring that they follow facility policies and procedures.

 

10. **Safety and Security:** Maintain awareness of facility security measures and report any security concerns or incidents promptly.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including phones and computers.

- Customer service-oriented with a compassionate and empathetic approach.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
