Job Summary

As the Supervisor of the Denials Management Team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and leading a team responsible for analyzing, resolving, and preventing claim denials within CHOC and CHOC at Mission. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient operation of the denials management process, implementing strategies to reduce denials, and providing guidance and support to team members. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of denial management processes, and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Pay Range

Minimum $57,241 Midpoint $75,826 Maximum $94,432

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

* Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience with denials management or revenue cycle management.
* Previous experience in denials management or revenue cycle management, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Education

* Required: High School Diploma. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
* Preferred: Associate's Degree or higher

Specialized Skills

* Required: Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding processes, payer regulations, and reimbursement methodologies. Proven experience in effectively leading and managing a team, with excellent coaching and mentoring abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. Proficiency in using healthcare information systems, claims processing software, and data analytics tools. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends related to denials management.
