What you will do:

* Perform credit investigation for potential new accounts and maintain existing credit files.
* Determine and administer other financial alternatives of payment such as, but not limited to, joint checks and letters of credit.
* Assign and monitor credit limits to present and potential customers per established policies.
* Establish credit limits for individual accounts.
* Review accounts to adjust credit limits to reflect the current financial position and payment habits of the customer.
* Determine appropriate 'Hold Periods' for accounts to ensure that orders are not processed when perceived credit risks do not warrant additional exposure.
* Prioritize collection activity on past due accounts and determine the action to bring the account to within a current position.
* Assist team in contacting unresponsive customers regarding past due invoices when necessary.
* Work closely with the internal sales team to correct billing errors, provide information needed to resolve disputes, and proactively discuss accounts nearing a "hold" status.
* Reconciles payments from the customer to assist the cash applications group or prove to a customer where a payment was applied.
* Determine when internal collections efforts are no longer effective and recommend 3rd party collection efforts by providing details to warrant the referral.
* Review settlement offers and make recommendations to move toward resolution.

What you will bring:

* A minimum of 10 years of experience in a credit and collections role.
* A minimum of 5 years management experience.
* Strong customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong negotiation, mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate information and present solutions to a customer.
* The ability to operate computers and relevant computer software.   Experience utilizing Get Paid is a plus.
* Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

* This job is performed primarily in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
* Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Location: Cranbury, NJ

Work Hours: M-F; 8 am - 5 pm.
