Job Details:

Purpose

Provide administrative support for faculty, research staff, and graduate students in the day-to-day operations of the Texas Center for Equity and Promotion in the College of Education.

Responsibilities

Financial Responsibilities:

* Process purchasing, travel, and vouchering actions and related troubleshooting on center research grant accounts and non-grant accounts.


* Process financial transactions such as cost transfers, deposits, IDTs, and scholarships on center research grant accounts and non-grant accounts.


* Process and reconcile travel and research Cash Advance Requests.



Workday HR Responsibilities:

* Process all student Workday transactions and tuition payments for the center.


* Process all staff Workday transactions for the center including but not limited to create/post new positions, transfers, salary adjustments, and add jobs.


* Initiate background checks and complete I-9s. Ensure new employees complete onboarding tasks in Workday.



Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED and seven years of administrative experience.


* Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and organize priorities.


* Ability to work successfully in a deadline-driven environment.


* Ability to work as part of a team without day-to-day supervision.


* Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.



An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

* Two- or four-year college degree (associates or bachelors)


* More than the required amount of experience.


* Experience working in a research center with sponsored projects.


* Experience with the UT *DEFINE accounting system, FRMS, and Workday


* Knowledge of university structure, policies, rules, and procedures.


* Familiarity with UT Austin central administrative offices including Office of Sponsored Projects, Accounts Payable, Travel, etc.



Salary Range

$50,000+ depending on qualifications
