Compensation for this role: $29.00 to $33.00

General Responsibilities

Maintain open communication lines with all working relationships

Follow up to ensure items for which the job is accountable are performed

Specific Responsibilities

Payroll Complete the payroll process from start to finish Weekly payment processing. Reconcile and upload weekly per diem, shift differential and taxable housing Review coding accuracy and upload payroll reimbursements bi-monthly Review hourly rate changes entered by the payroll administrator Enter office rate changes Review entry of new hires entered by the payroll administrator Maintain and upload auto allowance monthly and reconcile the cell phone spreadsheet Responsible for understanding the laws for processing garnishments/child support orders General knowledge of state laws for payroll withholding File the DOL statistic monthly report online Reconcile the COVID spreadsheet and adjust individual payroll hours as needed

Assist with the processing of weekly, monthly and quarterly withholding taxes

Complete confidential Verification of Employment requests

Monitor payroll mailbox and phones

General

Other tasks as assigned and as time allows

Assist with internal/external audits

Assist with year-end process

Process improvement

Train on certified payroll/master fringe Backup for payroll administrator

Other duties as may be assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

REQUIREMENTS:

* A minimum of two years payroll related experience and general accounting.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a plus, but not required.
* Experience in construction accounting and working knowledge of Spectrum software is also a plus.
