ReNEW Moton: Lakefront seeks an Assistant Principal of Culture for grades Pk-8. Moton Charter will transition to ReNEW Schools in the 2024-2025 school year. We seek an experienced, dynamic leader who can lead school culture, create and maintain systems, and assist in coaching and developing teachers. The ideal Assistant Principal of Culture Candidate will lead a team to build a solid foundation for the school's culture by providing students with a positive learning environment that promotes academic success and experiences that will enable them to fulfill ReNEW Schools' mission.

At ReNEW, we transform underperforming schools into academically rigorous schools that prepare students for the next level of achievement, including high school, college, and career.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

At ReNEW schools, we expect our Assistant Principal of Culture to work at a high level of excellence in the following four essential competencies.

* Culture: School culture is first and foremost in the Assistant Principal of Culture role. In alignment with the established school culture system, be able to model, observe effectively, and coach colleagues' student culture.
* You will work with the leadership team to build a school environment that reflects high expectations and a positive learning environment. You will ensure that all stakeholders are clear on these expectations and held accountable.
* Assist in the development and management of the School Culture Playbook. Facilitate the process of scripting school-wide routines and procedures.
* Develop a shared vision for all students that includes high behavioral expectations, joyful school culture, and high student academic achievement.


* Systems: In conjunction with the school's vision, mission, and values, you will develop and manage behavior management systems, plans, and practices to support student learning. Facilitate ongoing revisions of the systems using data analysis.
* Proactively create, prepare, and communicate school systems to stakeholders. By anticipating stakeholder needs, we can make necessary systemic changes that are aligned with school priorities and mission.
* Support School Leaders in training students and teachers on the school's Behavior Management System and positive incentive systems.


* Data: Monitor multiple forms of student, class, and school data to inform cultural and behavioral decisions.
* Determining the most salient aspects of data and utilizing it to be proactive regarding school culture and plan professional development sessions.
* Use data all day, every day. You and the behavior team will assess qualitative and quantitative student data to draw insightful conclusions and adjust culture as necessary.


* Coaching: At ReNEW Schools, coaching is the foundation of our academic culture and vision. Coaching includes:
* Observe and provide feedback to teachers on classroom culture and behavior management. Provide continuous support to teachers in developing positive, authentic relationships with students.



WHAT YOU BRING

* Bachelor's degree required.
* Experience with positive behavior support and program management.
* The ideal candidate will be highly organized, energetic, and dedicated to providing educational equity.
* Candidates should be problem-solvers who are responsive to feedback and welcome daily challenges.
* Must work with uncertainty and embrace constant change in technologies and methods.
* Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to multi-task
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

FLSA Classification: Exempt
