Rogers Group is currently seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist at our corporate office in Nashville, TN. This position will be ON-SITE and report directly to the Payroll Manager. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of and direct experience with multi-State, federal and local payroll taxes.

Job Responsibilities:

Multi-state, federal withholding, SUTA, local taxes, etc.
Approximately 30 monthly filings, approximately 80 quarterly filings, year-end filings and W2s.
Research discrepancies using Oracle EBS and federal/state databases.
Labor union monthly filings (health and welfare, pension, etc.).
Prepare for audits (internal and external).
Completes journal entries for all tax payments.
Assists with completing payroll adjustments to correct employee payroll tax issues.

Qualifications:

2-5 years of experience filing payroll taxes.
Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and succeed in a deadline driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft office, excel and outlook.
Oracle payroll software experience preferred.
Ability to learn new computer programs.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or work as part of a team when needed.
