Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our client's finance team. The Accounting Specialist will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the general ledger system, and will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with relevant accounting standards.

*Pay: $21-$24 per hour *

*Duties*

- Prepare and review general ledger entries, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with GAAP.
- Perform monthly and annual balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that our financial records are accurate and complete.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of financial concepts and stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including the income statement and balance sheet.
- Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure that all invoices are accurate and timely.
- Perform other financial duties as needed, including analyzing financial data and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
- Maintain a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records.
- Perform tasks that require the use of 10 key typing skills.

*Qualifications: *

- Proficiency in GAAP and financial concepts.

- 5+ years of previous accounting experience
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to perform tasks that require 10 key typing skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
