Kitchen Manager - Restaurant and Bistro

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary based on experience (Up to $80k)

Key Qualifications:
  • 3-5 Years as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Assistant Culinary Manager, or the like
  • Experience in a $2M+ Sales Volume Restaurant
  • Menu Development
  • Sanitation License and Food Handlers Certificate
  • Ability to recruit, train, and develop the kitchen staff

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the production of our menu items, ensuring quality and sanitation standards.
  • Train and onboard new staff, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Maintain work areas, equipment, and food handling procedures to meet safety and health codes.
  • Prepare food items for daily business and catered events.
  • Monitor food rotation and inventory levels, ensuring wholesome and nutritious products.
  • Assist with recipe development, menu planning, and reducing food waste.
  • Provide input on performance reviews for kitchen staff.
  • Act as a Key Holder, opening and closing the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with other cooks to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
  • Keep front-of-house staff updated on specials and changing menu items.
  • Lead by example, showing up, working hard, helping others, and fostering a positive team environment.
