Therapy Coordinator
The Serenity Center is presently seeking to fill a field staff position in our new Serenity Gold off-site program in several of the assisted living homes where we provide psychotherapy services to the residents who live there.

We are looking for a part-time employee, willing to work a weekly Friday/Saturday rotation.

Job Responsibilities will include:
  • Locating clients within the facility and bringing them to the clinical office (also within the facility) on the day/time of their appointment.
  • Getting all necessary paperwork from facility, including face sheets, referral letters, labs, and confidentiality forms. 
  • Liaising with our clinicians and arranging schedules of days/times when they will be providing treatment to clients.
  • Meeting the clients and working to develop an excellent rapport with them Many clients will need encouragement and support to keep their appointments.
  • Scheduling clients in advance for their appointments, providing appointment cards, and lots of reminders Sending the schedule of treatment to the clinician in advance.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to succeed in this position, as well as having compassion and skills at engaging seniors and getting them to their appointments on time The most important and essential aspect of this job is developing a good relationship with each client so that on the day of their appointment, it is seamless for you to find them and escort them to the therapy office.
  • We will provide you with all necessary training and support The only thing you need to bring is your amazing personality You will need to complete an NYS certification as a Peer Specialist. This credentialing does not require you to have a mental illness or substance abuse problem; simply having overcome a major life event (death in the family, COVID, emotional hardship) is the only requirement.
  • The essential goal is for the clinician to see clients back-to-back throughout the day, with no downtime in-between sessions.
