Baja Designs is growing and looking for someone well-versed and adaptable to help assist walk-in customers with product questions or upsells, email and answer / transfer calls, look up order status, track information, and other various tasks related to customer service and orders within a fast-paced work environment.

Baja Designs has been at the forefront of developing and manufacturing high end auxiliary lights for off road motorcycles, trucks and military vehicles for over 30 years.

  • Schedule for this position is 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday with a 1- hour lunch.

Duties for Customer Service Representative/ Receptionist include but not limited to:
  • Assist in answering high volume, multi-line phone system, and directing calls to appropriate departments.
  • All things Customer Service (e.g. Assisting Walk in customers, updating order status’, shipping information, sending confirmations to customers, filing Fed Ed, UPS Claims etc.)
  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office, and direct visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
  • Take customer calls and provide accurate, satisfactory answers to their queries and concerns.
  • Guide callers through troubleshooting, navigating the company site or using the products of services.
  • Review customer or client accounts providing updates and information about billing, shipping, warranties and other account items.
  • Answering email requests.
  • Distributing email requests to the correct department.
  • Forwarding customer inquiry emails to sales and warranty team.
  • Data entry in ERP system (NetSuite experience is a plus)
  • Assist the customers with sales inquiries.
  • Upsell and Cross-sell when applicable.
  • Other administrative support as necessary/requested.

Requirements to succeed in this role
  • Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of Customer Service/ Receptionist experience. Sales experience is a plus
  • Team player, Positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Professional, Customer First attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers while offering patient assistance and support.
  • Be able to organize, prioritize and multi-task to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to use independent judgment when needed.
  • Be dedicated, motivated, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Be responsible, punctual and dependable.

This position allows room for growth and additional responsibilities, so we are looking for someone with the drive to excel
$18-$20.00/hr. DOE to start, with opportunities to earn commission.
