Deaf Reach Inc. is a small non-profit organization providing a range of services to individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing experiencing complex behavioral health concerns. Services provided include community support, day services, residential services, employment counseling, and interpreter services.

The Deaf-Reach Inc. residential services involve two 24-hour group homes housing 13 clients enrolled with Deaf-Reach Inc. for community support services. Clients are diagnosed with serious mental health concerns and require supervision to perform many functions including socializing, personal care, nutrition, medication, and money management.

Job Title: Community Support Provider
Department: Behavioral Health Program
Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $19.50                   
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:
  • Individual Interventions: Provide and document services.
  • Crisis Plans: Develop intervention strategies.
  • Family Support: Educate and support clients’ families.
  • Coping Skills: Help clients develop interpersonal and community skills.
  • Mental Health: Monitor and manage symptoms.
  • Social Support: Increase support networks.
  • Hospital Avoidance: Develop strategies to prevent hospitalization.
  • Health Needs: Understand medical and nutritional needs.
  • Financial Skills: Help clients with budgeting.

Administrative Tasks:
  • Documentation: Complete within 48 hours.
  • On Call: Be available for emergencies.
  • Team Work: Assist with snacks and lunch.
  • Events: Plan and provide holiday parties, special events, and birthdays.

Qualifications:
  • Education: B.A. or MA/MSW in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
  • ASL Fluency: Required.
  • Deaf Culture: Knowledge needed.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Driver’s License: Valid license required.
