Litigation Legal Assistant - Latimer LeVay Fyock LLC, Chicago based law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to play a pivotal role in assisting attorneys primarily in our Litigation Practice. www.llflegal.com.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft Engagement Letters.
  • Provide Litigation Support. 
    • Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence including letters, memos, briefs, pleadings and reports.
  • E-filing approved documents on various court portals.
  • Calculating and calendaring court deadlines.
  • Reviewing, proofreading and formatting documents.
  • All other administrative and support tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of administrative assistant experience with a Litigation focus, working for multiple attorneys.
    • State and Federal electronic court filing experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-filing systems, document management systems and billing systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, set priorities, manage time efficiently, and exhibit excellent follow-up.
Other:
  • In office 4 days a week.
