The Firm has an opening for a full-time Litigation Legal Assistant in the Firm’s Chicago office.



The Opportunity

The candidate will work under the supervision of the attorney(s) to whom they are assigned and will provide typical Litigation Legal Assistant services. Those services include preparing, retaining, and organizing litigation files, preparing and filing pleadings and motions, preparation of letters and other correspondence and maintenance of electronic data and other file information. Strong organizational and prioritization skills are also a must. The candidate must be proficient in electronic court filings and be knowledgeable of multijurisdictional court procedures and rules. The practice group primarily handles matters outside of Illinois. Candidates should be motivated and accountable, with excellent communication skills, good organizational and time management skills, as well as be a team player. Candidates will be expected to participate in client calls along with counsel including real time contract negotiations.



Essential Job Duties

  • 4 – 6 Years Litigation experience required.
  • Experience in federal and state electronic court filing systems required.
  • Ability to deal professionally and communicate clearly and concisely with clients, attorneys and staff on all levels.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Zoom, Teams, and Adobe/pdfDocs
  • Familiarity with Net Documents, litigation management or other document management system helpful.
  • Proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, handle pressure and adapt to changing work priorities, and manage deadlines workflow and work assignments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and productivity standards
