POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the preparation of various account analysis, including maintaining fixed asset and mortgage schedules, reconciling account transactions, preparation for month/year-end closing, and special projects as requested.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, as assigned, and assist with the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations as assigned.
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare account analyses.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset module and prepare summary fixed asset schedules. Reconcile fixed assets per the general ledger to the fixed asset module.
  • Maintain the Loans/Mortgages and Bonds Schedule and prepare summary schedules. Reconcile these schedules against the general ledger and applicable amortization schedules.
  • Prepare cash receipts allocations and record journal entries related to the monthly close.
  • Reconcile cash receipts with Avatar report monthly.
  • Prepare inventory schedule monthly and reconcile to the general ledger.
  • Prepare schedules and record journal entries related to the monthly/yearly close.
  • Assist with the year-end Audit.
  • Prepare other schedules and analyses as needed.
  • Maintain required reports, records, and files.
  • Special projects as required by supervisors.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • Three (3) years of experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Access.
