Infant Group Supervisor

Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced Group Supervisor to join our infants' teaching team.
The ideal candidates will have an Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Children & Families as well at least two years experience working with young children, preferably ages 6 weeks through 3 years, be a team player & have a passion for early learning & a desire to make a difference. Supervisory experience and/or bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers to plan & implement daily lesson plans & activities.
  • Help create a safe & stimulating classroom environment for infants.
  • Monitor & engage with children during playtime, meals & other daily routines.
  • Provide individual & group support to children as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development & progress. 
  • Complete child assessments & participate in parent/teacher conferences.
  • Mentor & guide new or less experienced staff as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Have an Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Children & Families
  • Have two+ years experience working with young children, preferably ages 6 weeks throught 3 years.
  • Must qualify as a Group Supervisor with DHS.
  • Able to pass state, federal & child abuse background checks.
  • Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
  • Supervisory experience and/or bilingual a plus.

Position Overview:
  • This is a full-time, year round position.
  • Pay range starts at $17.50 up to $19.50 (relative to experience & education) per hour with a pay increase based on performance & education at the end of a 90 day probation period.
  • Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, PTO, sick-time, reduced child care & more.
  • Full-time staff work a four-day work week
