Position Overview: As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience at Le Tub. This position requires a warm, welcoming demeanor and seating arrangements efficiently. The Host will ensure that guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they arrive to their exit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Reception:
    • Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant.
    • Manage the reservation system and take phone inquiries regarding availability and dining options.
  • Seating Management:
    • Assign tables to guests based on their reservation status and the flow of the dining room.
    • Monitor guest seating to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.
  • Communication:
    • Liaise between the front of house and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
    • Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to the serving staff.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide information about the menu and restaurant policies.
    • Address any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ambiance Maintenance:
    • Ensure that the entrance and waiting areas are clean and welcoming.
    • Assist with the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, including music and lighting adjustments as needed.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the management and service team to optimize guest flow and dining experience.
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a host or front-of-house role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and restaurant management software is a plus.
  • A passion for hospitality and providing genuine warmth.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
