The Director of Finance is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all financial functions of the organization. The Director oversees and reviews accounting tasks, including payroll, revenue cycle, accounting, financial audits, compliance and more. The Director of Finance reports financial results to the CEO and board of directors and is responsible for the development of the annual budget in collaboration with leadership and Accounting Staff. The Director tracks key performance indicators and ensures the organization has the data and benchmarks in place to lead to operational success.  

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in accounting/financial operations
  • Experience in the financial management of a non-profit organization is preferred
  • Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.
