The Assistant Director of Human Resources is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Human Resources Department, all HR staff, the functions that the department is responsible for, and for ensuring compliance with all State and Federal laws, program regulations as well as UCP policies related to HR functions at UCP. This Assistant Director of Human Resources will play a key role in the development of strategic initiatives and programs aimed at employee engagement and retention and will collaborate with the management team to continuously improve the employee experience. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years’ broad level experience in Human Resources.
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members.
  • A valid State of Maine driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
