We are excited to grow alongside you as Virtual Therapeutics continues to transform with each passing day The RoleAs VT’s Senior Software Test Engineer, you will help us support our engineering team by leading our test team and working with our engineering team to create and execute test plans and procedures. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable leading and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is highly organized with strong communication skills. They will be flexible, highly self-motivated, eager to try new things, with a commitment to fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and mutual support. 

The Senior Software Test Engineer is expected to be around 70%-80% in office, with flexible WFH.  Responsibilities:
  • Work with software engineers to create test plans and procedures.
  • Work with management to create release acceptance plans.
  • Participate in scrum-style agile engineering processes with responsibility for test planning, costing and reporting.

Required/Minimum Qualifications: 
  • 4+ years of experience in software testing and leading a test team. 
  • Experience with creating, costing, and delivering test plans.
  • Experience with bug tracking and reporting software.
  • Experience with creating clear and actionable bug reports.
  • Experience with triage and root-cause analysis of software bugs
  • Experience with creating product release acceptance plans.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and processes.
  • Experience in internal communication of testing processes/bug statuses to various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Comfort and familiarity with productivity tools such as JIRA, Slack, Trello, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfort with dealing with participants and clients and assisting in troubleshooting when needed.  

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Virtual Reality (VR) software, Augmented Reality (AR) software, and other game technologies.
  • Experience using and working with virtual reality applications and devices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Comfort working both independently and within a tightly knit team.
