Assistant Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Apartment Assistant Manager to join our property management team. The Apartment Assistant Manager will assist the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the apartment community, ensuring resident satisfaction, managing leasing activities, and maintaining the property's physical appearance. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing and Marketing:
- Assist in managing leasing inquiries, conducting property tours, and processing rental applications.
- Implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and advertisements.
Tenant Relations:
- Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Address tenant issues or disputes in a professional and timely manner, striving to maintain positive relationships.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with lease preparation, renewal, and termination processes.
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, rent payments, and tenant communications.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of expenses.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely processing of rental payments and invoices.
Property Maintenance:
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance to schedule repairs
- Oversee the upkeep of landscaping, common areas, and amenities to enhance curb appeal and resident satisfaction.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay informed about local housing laws, regulations, and market trends.
- Ensure the property remains in compliance with all applicable housing regulations and safety codes.
- Assist in conducting annual property inspections and preparing for audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Real Estate, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
- 2 years of previous experience in property management, leasing, or customer service roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
