One of Oahu's best and busiest physical therapy clinics is seeking an ENTHUSIASTIC and MOTIVATED Office Assistant for full-time work We’re looking for POSITIVE and customer-orientated staff to be part of our fun and diverse team. The applicant for this position should be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys a team setting, and is motivated by helping others. We will take the time to not only train you to be successful at this job, but also to teach you how to grow your interpersonal and customer service skills. 
Summary:Schedules appointments for 20+ physical therapists across four clinics for customers by phone, or in person by performing the following duties:
  • Uses our electronic medical records system to record the time and date of appointments.
  • Welcomes clients upon check-in.
  • Thanks, clients upon checkout.
  • Professionally administer incoming calls.
  • Communicate with referring providers and staff.
  • Refers to all billing questions to the billing department.
  • Efficiently and accurately perform a variety of clerical duties including faxing, scheduling, making calls, scanning, etc.
  • Registers new patients and prep their charts.
  • Ensures all insurance policies and procedures are met.
  • Receives payments for services and products.
  • Informs physical therapists of patient arrival to appointment.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), BA, or BS preferred.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably working directly with patients in a medical setting.
  • Language Skills -- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Computer Skills -- 50+ wpm, Mac OS, Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel.
