This key role will provide superior customer service and focus on the specific needs of each customer, and with the support of other team members promote long-term relationships and an outstanding customer service experience.
American Welding & Gas is an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial, medical, specialty and beverage gases and associated welding and safety supplies. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, AWG operates 80 retail locations and 20 gas fill plants located in twenty-one states stretching from Montana to Florida. AWG is growing and looking for dynamic individuals to join our team
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming telephone calls, faxes, emails and provide a variety of services to the customer via multiple platforms (phone, email, SPS, Amazon, ECommerce, etc.)
- Directly address customer requests/concerns for the entire company and/or efficiently route those inquiries accordingly
- Monitor sales generate reporting and schedule services for customers in support of TICE operations (when applicable)

- Accurate and efficient entry and distribution of all customer orders
- Align daily tasks and long-term goals in support of the AWG sales team, Specialty Gas, A/R, procurement, operations and branch management company wide
- Participate in self-directed work team environment
- Additional duties and special research or administrative projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required / Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior customer service experience a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (specifically Outlook and Excel)
- Adapt easily to new software, multiple information management dashboards
- Pleasant, professional and courteous personality
- Strong administrative skills: organized, efficient and flexible
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines
- Superior focus in an environment of distraction and outstanding "follow-through" skills
