POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Assistant                                                      Location: Del Rio, TX
FLSA: Non-Exempt                                            Hire Pay: $17-20hr.                        Classification: Full time
 

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Assists with the staffing and pre-hire activities, including coordinating the background screening process.
  • Ability to execute and support HR initiatives, policies, and procedures
  • Leadership and training abilities 
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Composure and confidentiality on disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintains reports and responds to internal and external requests for information.
  • Administrative duties including maintaining employee records, EEO data, etc.
  • Compliance with all policies and legal requirements
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by HR Director.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and function well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel Spreadsheets, Dropbox
 
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the Human Resources Director. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor office environment.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Business Administration or two years experience in a related field.
  • Problem solver with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be bi-lingual.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
