POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Assistant Location: Del Rio, TX
FLSA: Non-Exempt Hire Pay: $17-20hr. Classification: Full time
JOB SUMMARY:
- Assists with the staffing and pre-hire activities, including coordinating the background screening process.
- Ability to execute and support HR initiatives, policies, and procedures
- Leadership and training abilities
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Composure and confidentiality on disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintains reports and responds to internal and external requests for information.
- Administrative duties including maintaining employee records, EEO data, etc.
- Compliance with all policies and legal requirements
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by HR Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and function well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel Spreadsheets, Dropbox
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives supervision from the Human Resources Director. The position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor office environment.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Business Administration or two years experience in a related field.
- Problem solver with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be bi-lingual.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
