Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain business plans for manufacturing operations, including labor hours, production costs, and cycle times.
  • Provide input on product strategy and support R&D for new and emerging products.
  • Establish and monitor production and quality control standards, and manage budget and cost controls.
  • Guide the development of manufacturing process plans, including personnel, materials, subcontracting, facilities, and equipment needs.
  • Ensure all costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with other functions and suppliers to optimize resource utilization.
  • Review production and operating reports, resolve operational issues, and prevent delays.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including compiling and reporting production data.
  • Define responsibilities and manage staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to senior business leaders, facilitating project advancement.
  • Lead the team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals.
  • Manage manufacturing, heat treat, and plating operations with over 100 hourly production operators.
  • Implement and enforce company policies on attendance, overtime, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Train employees on compliance with company, government, and customer policies and regulations.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience and Background:
  • 8-10 years of related experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to groups.
  • Proficiency in calculating figures related to discounts, interest, and basic geometry and algebra.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle variable situations.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
