The Billing Specialist will exemplify Grace Dental’s Core Values:

Compensation: $25-40/hr depending on experience.Benefits: Medical, Dental, PTO, paid holidays and sick days, incentive bonus opportunities, continuing education.Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 7:30am – 5:00pm | Rotating Saturday.
***THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION; CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO OFFICE IN MENLO PARK***

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and balances.
  • Collaborate with dental providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Establish a patient payment plan and ensure patients are timely and in good standing.
  • Follow up, monitor, and adjust as needed to patient accounts.
  • Process and file insurance claims.
  • Monitor claims status.
  • Contact insurance companies when necessary.
  • Bill claims using dental software or submitting Online.
  • Answer phone calls from patients, insurance representatives and dental providers.
  • Enter and update data, including patient information, insurance information, and other information.
  • Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and denials.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Assist with coding and documentation requirements.
  • Collection of past due insurance and patient balances.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries.

Experience:
  • Proficient in Dentrix.
  • Previous experience working in a dental office is required.
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance plans and terminology.
  • Proven success in achieving and maintaining a healthy AR.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling insurance claims.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of the full revenue cycle.

Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts available Mon-Sat.
  • Must be available Saturday (1-2 Saturdays/month).
