We are seeking a Key Account Manager – Business Development to join our team. This is an onsite-only role with a primary focus on business-to-business sales, targeting distributors, name brands, and multi-state or vertically integrated operators.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite Only)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and acquire new key accounts via lead generation, cold-calling, and other strategic methods.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Close new business deals and develop tailored solutions to meet key clients' needs.
- Build long-term, professional relationships with key accounts.
- Understand and address client needs, offering customized merchandising and solutions.
- Handle customer issues, complaints, and concerns effectively and promptly.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Provide regular progress updates and detailed work plans to the department leader.
- Travel locally and nationally for meetings and trade shows as required.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the department leader.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- Proven track record in business development and sales, especially with high-level customers.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring and closing new business deals.
- Strong business judgment and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in computer systems and software.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
- Consultative problem-solver with a customer-focused approach.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs (evenings, weekends, holidays).
