Together, we will raise awareness about the importance of clinical research and its role in shaping the future of healthcare.  Be a part of the discovery Summary:  Performs complex contract duties to include developing, analyzing, evaluating, reviewing, processing, ensuring applicable compliance, negotiating budgets, implementing and/or monitoring contracts. Work requires extensive contact with industry sponsors/Contract Research Organizations, and internal, Operations and Accounting. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs contract development, review, analysis, and negotiation for consulting and research-related arrangements across all of Pinnacle. 
  • Ensures contract compliance with current law/regulations and Pinnacle’s policies, procedures, and practices. 
  • Manages contract negotiations between Pinnacle and external professionals. 
  • Assists in the development of negotiation strategies and identifies areas of contract risk. 
  • Obtains appropriate financial review and sign-off for fully executed agreements.
  • Responsible for communicating details about the contract that affect Operations and Accounting or other departments within Pinnacle.  
  • Works independently in the management of a large number of simultaneous contract negotiations and performs other miscellaneous responsibilities and special projects as requested.  
  • Willing to travel between Pinnacle locations, if needed.
  • Acts in project management capacity utilizing internal workflow tools to ensure transparent, efficient throughput between inter-departmental stakeholders
 Education/Experience
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree, with previous experience in contract management/negotiations. 
  • Clinical trial research exposure is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.

  • Work is performed in an office/laboratory and/or a clinical environment.
  • Weekend or after-hour work may be required.
  • Exposure to biological fluids and/or bloodborne pathogens. 
  • Personal protective equipment is required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.
  • Occasional travel may be required domestic and/or international.
  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-10 hours per day.
  • Frequent mobility is required.
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling or bending.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects including medical equipment with a maximum lift of 20-50 lbs.
