We are seeking a full-time Manufacturing Operations Specialist to work with our two primary product lines. The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Serving as the primary interface to our contract manufacturers and internal manufacturing team
  • Maintaining up-to-date product manufacturing documentation
  • Organize company-wide documentation structure to improve and maintain clarity
  • Creating and implementing streamlined processes and procedures to improve productivity, efficiency, and performance.
  • Providing coordination and optimizing communication between departments
  • Ensuring overall manufacturing consistency and quality

As JPS is a small company, being a self-starter and solving problems on your own is essential. You will need to check documentation details and communicate requirements meticulously. Follow-through is important and expected, but there will be plenty of support from other team members. 
 You will need to be in the office daily (Monday-Friday) for the first several months. After that, occasional or periodic working from home is an option. However, because of the nature of our products, being in the office is often helpful. You will have your own office with a door - there are no cubicles. Permanent remote work is not available. JPS has an enjoyable and friendly culture, and being in the office is essential for maintaining that. Additional role responsibilities include:
  • Building and maintaining a Master Parts List
  • Ensuring that all processes are well-documented and supporting documents are easily retrievable
  • Maintaining, organizing, and updating all engineering/manufacturing documentation such as schematics, bills of materials, assembly instructions, and manufacturing test procedures
  • Facilitating and processing design change documentation for both hardware and software
  • Serving as the primary interface to our off-site manufacturers and outside design firms

Considered candidates should possess:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a related role
  • Extensive experience with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, etc.) and SharePoint file management
  • Experience with inventory management software
  • General understanding of hardware manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with manufacturing procurement processes
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Pride in the quality of your work
