Caregiver Needed – Dementia Care Specialist

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced caregiver to join our team at Affectionate Touch Home Care. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of caregiving experience, particularly with dementia patients, and live within 20 minutes of the service area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care and assistance to clients in their homes, focusing on dementia care.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including grooming, bathing, medication management, and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health and well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the client.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of caregiving experience, with a strong focus on dementia care.
  • Must live within a 20-minute commute of the service area.
  • Highly attentive and observant, with the ability to recognize and respond to clients’ needs quickly.
  • Strong communication skills—able to effectively communicate with both clients and their families.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and reliable, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to follow care plans and document services provided.
  • 3 caregiving-related references are required.
  • Experience working in a home care agency setting is preferred.
