Job Title: Caregiver - Residential Support Staff (Part Time)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver - Residential Support Staff to join our team in New Braunfels, TX. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to lead their best lives.

Job Summary:

The Caregiver - Residential Support Staff will provide direct support and care to individuals with IDD, assisting with daily living activities, training, and community access. This is a part-time position, working weekends, and requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access.
  • Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with IDD, as specified in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and activity schedules.
  • Aid in mobility and assist with meal service, promoting social skills and personal dignity.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
  • Act as a Primary Person (P2) for one or more individuals, ensuring their wellbeing at all times.
  • Attend and complete in-service training sessions as scheduled.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to fellow Direct Support Professionals.
  • Complete data collection, observation notes, and daily reports as directed by agency policy and procedure.
  • Assist with transportation and participate in the daily operation of the home, as needed.
Qualifications:
  • A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
  • Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
