Are you a Match?

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for providing good customer service by procuring timely and efficient replenishment of stock and non-stock resale inventory items through purchases from the applicable vendors and or transfer of inventory between company warehouses. The Purchasing Agent is also responsible for implementing the procurement of new inventory items. Requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • 5 years’ experience purchasing of industrial supplies including maintenance and repair items and capital equipment purchases or commensurate experience.
  • Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Windows environment and able to learn new programs with little to no prior training) and ability to use and operate within inventory replenishment and accounting software without difficulty.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop a basic understanding of the welding and related processes that are used by the customers served by the company.
  • Position will include buying assets and expenses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
