Job Summary:

The Mental Health Counselor provides individual, couples, and family therapy services to clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. The counselor will utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients develop coping skills, improve their overall well-being, and achieve their goals. Hours are flexible, with the option to work in the office or from home. Supervision is provided if applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions using appropriate therapeutic modalities.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs 
  • Develop personalized treatment plans to address clients' unique needs
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.
  • Foster a supportive and welcoming environment for clients

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Licensed mental health counselor (LPCC, LMFT, LCSW) or equivalent licensure
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of mental health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
