A well-established international manufacturing company with an employee-centric culture is searching for a talented HR Business Partner to join their HR team providing service to 250 employees. This fast-growing unionized manufacturer is located one hour South of Louisville, KY. This position will report to the on-site HR Manager and partner with department managers to manage talent and performance management, organizational development, recruiting, employee development and labor relations. Manufacturing and union experience are a plus (candidates must have a desire to learn both). Competitive salary based on experience ($95k - $110k), 10% potential bonus and employee benefits package.   • Serve as point of contact for employee relations matters (investigations, etc.)
  • Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, labor relations and human resources.
  • Work directly with managers and supervisors to provide HR guidance on employee development, succession planning, coaching and discipline.
  • Conduct internal employee investigations in accordance with labor and employment law and policy.
  • Assist with full life cycle recruiting, work with hiring managers on recruiting needs and on-board new hires.
  • Serve as employee advocate to develop and maintain a highly engaged and productive workforce.
  • Ensure business compliance with HR policies and programs.
  • Develop solutions and help create a positive organizational culture, in line with company values and business priorities.
  • Various HR projects as assigned.
 Highlighted Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive hands-on generalist experience in human resources.
  • Experience in union environment and manufacturing desired.
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding new hires.
  • Extensive HRIS and Excel experience will be needed.
  • Current knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a positive culture for employees.
  • Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have exceptional time management, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Motivated; self-directed individual.
